Ashley Scott Pays Tribute to Black Women with New Jazz Single "Beautifully Made" in recognition of Black History & Women's History Month. Release date X Month, 2025.
Philadelphia, PA – Renowned vocalist and songwriter Ashley Scott proudly presents his latest single, "Beautifully Made," a powerful homage to the beauty, strength, and resilience of women of African descent. Co-written with pianist Ben Bullock (Dave P. Stevens, Maysa, Will Downing) and bassist Bennie Sims (Musical Director for The Three Degrees and writer for Pieces of A Dream), this original jazz piece celebrates Black women’s contributions and elegance.
A return to his jazz roots, "Beautifully Made" features a traditional jazz swing arrangement that highlights Scott’s rich baritone voice, extending into his second tenor range—a testament to his vocal depth and versatility. Created in 2024, the song serves as an uplifting and timeless reminder of the beauty and grace of Black women. Scott, a Howard University graduate with a Bachelor's in Music, studied under jazz greats Kehembe Eichelberger, Grady Tate, and Webster Lewis, further refining his craft.
Music has been a cornerstone of Ashley Scott’s life, beginning at the age of three when he was influenced by his aunt, Helen Scott of The Three Degrees, and the legendary Delfonics. Over the years, he has built an impressive career as an international recording artist, known for charting hits like "Dance The Night Away" (2020), the 2022 release "Together," and his critically acclaimed anthem "Don’t Throw Our Love Away"(2021). With a dynamic presence in the Soul, Jazz, and Dance genres, Scott continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
With its heartfelt message and timeless swing, "Beautifully Made" is a perfect anthem for Black History Month, International Women’s Day (8th March, 2025), and Women’s History Month, honoring the legacy and contributions of Black women everywhere.
